A new name for the home of sport in Geelong – GHMBA Stadium. Originally built in 1941, GMHBA Stadium is the heart and soul of Geelong and is home to the Geelong Cats.
Recent venue upgrades have transformed GHMBA Stadium from a regional venue into a first-class multi purpose venue that can be adapted to suit a number of sports and events. An upgrade to the stadium lighting has also bolstered the venue’s capabilities, with AFL night games now also hosted at the Geelong venue.
Australian Rules Football (AFL) is the dominant code at the venue, however GHMBA Stadium has played host to National A-League and W-League soccer, Super Rugby, SuperX Motorcycles and domestic first class cricket matches.
