Coal Board House

As the beating heart of Brisbane’s commercial district established around it, Coal Board House has cemented itself as a significant venue within Brisbane’s thriving business centre.

Today the building stands as a reminder of Brisbane’s history and remains one of a small group of late Victorian buildings which have survived the modern developments of the city, and serve as a reminder of Australia’s courageous early beginnings.

As of December 2025 O’Brien Group Australia has completed the upgrade of this beautiful heritage building; Coal Board House and now leases the building to The Anyday Group who are operating two of Brisbane’s leading restaurants… Golden Avenue and French Exit.
