"The grounds at Eden Park have become hallowed to sports fans around New Zealand"

Thousands of fans march through the gates of Eden Park each year to witness some of Australasia’s biggest sporting and entertainment events.

With a seating capacity of over 50,000, the grounds at Eden Park have become hallowed to sports fans around the region as large-scale games and tournaments are elected to be hosted there.

The stadium was the first in the world to have held the Rugby World Cup final twice, first in 1987 and again in 2011. The century-old site has hosted hundreds of events including the 2015 Cricket World Cup and the Bledisloe Cup.
